Although much of our work in this area to date has been at UK Parliament Select Committees inquiries level, the Network in the Dorset area has initiated in conjunction with Dorset Race Equality Council DREC), LGBT – ethnic minority community pan-LGB&T & ethnic minority Pan-Protected Communities collaboration through a Bournemouth University Events Management initiated and facilitated LGBT international film project – https://lgbtnetwork4change.com/commendation-of-bournemouth-university-events-management-team-concerning-lgbt-international-film-festival/.

We strongly commend both DREC and the fantastic Bournemouth University team (an ALL female team!) in regard to this Dorset/Bournemouth area educational initiative, that provides much needed awareness of the issues UK ethnic minority community (including international members) encounter that are not experienced by non-BAME/BME LGBT+ & LGBTQ+ community members.

A dedicated page has been created for the project where learning emerging from the 3rd May event will be provided: https://lgbtnetwork4change.com/bournemouth-university-events-management-lgbt-film-festival/
