The Network is currently funded by grant applications: these are all specific Network projects and initiatives related grants (that provided ‘restricted funding’income for the latter and which can only be used on the latter).
We also have received micro funding (currently in the 2021 – 2022 period we received approximately £100) from the Rainbow Lottery, through donations (‘unrestricted funding’).
The 2021 – 2022 period we have received to date (April 2022):
A National Lottery Awards 4 All grant for £7,500 for aspects of consolidation of our NHS engagement work with Dorset Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, extending this to other parts of England, for extending our LGBTQ+ homeless initiative in other parts of the UK, a part of our work with the prison service (HMPPS)
A Dorset Community Foundation (DCF) grant of £2,000 for aspects of our specific Bournemouth area LGBTQ+ homeless initiative work, and aspects of our work at Portland Prison
A Bourne Free Community Grant of £750 for specific items of our Bournemouth and Poole area LGBTQ+ homeless initiative and items of support for our work with HMPPS (Portland)
A grant from HMP & YOI Portland of £500 (a £400 donation towards admin and training resources creation for prison staff, and £100 for books purchase for the prison library)
We provide details (including itemised expenditure detailed in successful grant applications) of all of grants and any donations in our annual Charity Commission Annual Report and Financial Statement, that is approved by our Board of Trustees, and the Reports and Statements are provided on the Charity Commission website: https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5089151/charity-overview
